Getting to know Isaiah Rice

Freshman walk-on Isaiah Rice begins his first season with the Commodores this fall and vucommodores.com caught up with him to see what he is like off of the floor.  Vanderbilt has officially started practice for the upcoming season, with the Commodores’ first regular-season game coming on November 10 against Austin Peay at Memorial Gym.

Favorite NBA team: Cleveland Cavaliers.
The one NBA player you wished was your teammate: LeBron James.
Age I picked up a basketball: 6.
I picked my jersey number because: It was my first number I wore as a kid.
When I was a kid I tried to be like: Allen Iverson.
The thing that impresses me most about Coach Drew: Consistent Positivity.
Favorite part about playing at Memorial Gym: Elevated Floor.
Favorite sport other than basketball: Football.
Favorite movie: Friday.
Nobody can believe I watch this TV show: Power.
Favorite midnight snack: Cereal.
Worst habit: Staying up late.
Basketball Dream Team: MJ, Kobe, LeBron, KD, and Shaq.
The best tasting food I can make: Pasta with marinara sauce.
