The Beer and Why We Made it

Conquer and Prevail Pale Ale, named for the memorable line in Vanderbilt’s Alma Mater, celebrates the spirit of Vanderbilt athletics and university traditions. It’s a modern pale ale featuring a biscuity malt profile with citrus and stonefruit aroma. The can features a vintage Mr. Commodore mark from the 1950s.

Jackalope Brewing Company was founded by Vanderbilt Law School alum Bailey Spaulding in 2011 and has been a staple in the Nashville craft beer scene ever since.

Get to know the first brewery to can beer in Nashville.

 

Conquer and Prevail Pale Ale, a beer made by Vanderbilt alumni-founded Jackalope Brewing Company in partnership with the university, took home Gold in the American Pale Ale category at the 2024 Tennessee Championship of Beers.
The annual Tennessee Championship of Beers aims to recognize quality beer being served in Tennessee and to help educate consumers on what beers represent excellent examples of the styles as categorized by the Beer Judge Certification Program.
