The Black and Gold Club is Vanderbilt’s athletics alumni network open to all former student-athletes, spirit, student managers and student training staff. We seek to honor our alumni for their exceptional collegiate careers and dedication to Vanderbilt Athletics, while also providing unique opportunities to engage with their extended Black and Gold family.

The Black and Gold Club will share regular athletics updates and host several events and programs throughout the year, including team reunions, alumni socials, student-alumni networking, career development, family days and more. But most importantly, understanding that our alumni are located all over the world, you will always have a home here at Vanderbilt. We encourage our athletics alumni to contact us if they are looking to obtain tickets to a game, planning a trip to campus and would like to visit practice or tour the facilities, or seeking to reconnect with a former teammate, coach or the university.

Our Network

We are proud to announce the launch of the new Black and Gold Club Network! This online platform is designed to connect Commodores like never before and serve as the one-stop hub for all athletics alumni needs. Black and Gold Club members who create a profile will have access to view alumni spotlights, register for events and gatherings, explore a job board for career and recruitment opportunities, learn about the latest Vanderbilt Athletics news and ticket information, and shape the next generation through our mentorship program. For more information on how to access the network, contact Black and Gold Club Director, Chris Griffin, at chris.griffin@vanderbilt.edu.

FAQ

How do I become a member of the Black and Gold Club?

All former student-athletes, spirit, student managers and student training staff are included as members of the Black and Gold Club automatically. If you are not receiving Black and Gold Club communications, please update your contact information to ensure you don’t miss out on exclusive information.

Is the Black and Gold Club different from the National Commodore Club?

Yes. The Black and Gold Club is exclusively for former student-athletes, spirit, student managers and student training staff.  The National Commodore Club is exclusively for donors to Vanderbilt Athletics. It is possible to be a member of both the Black and Gold Club and the National Commodore Club.

Do I have to be a letterwinner to be considered a member of the Black and Gold Club?

No. All former student-athletes, student managers and student training staff are included as members of the Black and Gold Club regardless of their letter winner status.

Do I have to make a gift?

While we encourage our alumni to support the program philanthropically, no gift is necessary to be a member of the Black and Gold Club or to access alumni-exclusive benefits. Making a gift does qualify you for membership in the National Commodore Club and gives you access to additional donor-exclusive benefits.
