Tyrin Lawrence leads four Dores in double figures with 15 points

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Jaylin Williams scored a game-high 21 points and Johni Broome added a double-double to lift No. 13/11 Auburn to an 80-65 SEC men’s basketball victory over Vanderbilt at Memorial Gymnasium Wednesday.

Williams did not miss a shot for the Tigers (15-2, 4-0 SEC), going 7-of-7 from the field while making all five free-throw attempts as Auburn shot 46.6 percent overall and 81.8 percent at the foul line. Broome chipped in with 15 points while leading all players with 12 rebounds, Dylan Cardwell scored 12 points and Aden Holloway added 10 for the Tigers.

Lawrence posted 15 points as the Commodores (5-12, 0-4 SEC) had four individual finish in double digits scoring. Jason Rivera-Torres recorded 14 points—the fourth time in as many league games the freshman has scored 10 or more—Ezra Manjon had 12 and Malik Pressley also scored a career-best 11.

The Dores will visit Mississippi State Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on SEC Network.
