NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The second-ranked Vanderbilt baseball team continues its homestand this weekend by welcoming Illinois-Chicago to Hawkins Field for a three-game series. The two teams are set for a 4:30 p.m. first pitch Friday with game two at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The series finale Sunday is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start. All three games can be streamed live on SEC Network+.

Commodore Notables
After suffering its first loss of the season in the series opener with Georgia State, Vanderbilt worked itself back into the win column by taking the final three games of the series with the Panthers.
The final game with the Panthers concluded a seven-game stretch in seven days, marking the most games in a week span that Vanderbilt has played in the modern-era.
Junior Dominic Keegan was named SEC Co-Player of the Week on Monday. Keegan was also recognized as one of Collegiate Baseball’s National Players of the Week, while being named the National Hitter of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
Friday’s series opener will mark the 32nd time that Vanderbilt and Illinois-Chicago have met in the all-time history between the two programs. The Commodores own a 25-6 record in the all-time series, including a three-game sweep over the Flames last season.
Vanderbilt has won its last 12 regular season home series, including two series in 2020 and eight in 2019. The Commodores have won 57-of-69 three-game sets at The Hawk since 2011.
