Weatherly started all 12 games at outside linebacker, running his consecutive starts streak to 17 games… Concluded the year second on the team with 25 career tackles for loss and 10.5 quarterback sacks… Ended the season with 29 solo tackles, 46 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and seven quarterback hurries… Also contributed a pair of fumble recoveries and one forced fumble… Contributed at last three tackles in nine games, topped by an eight-tackle performance vs. Georgia… Effort against Bulldogs included two tackles for loss… Produced six tackles in road games at Middle Tennessee and Houston.
2014
During the course of season, Weatherly developed from uncertain outside linebacker in new 3-4 scheme to one of the SEC’s most promising defenders… Participated in all 12 games, earning starts at OLB in nine encounters… Early-season starts came against Temple, Ole Miss, Kentucky and Georgia… Also started in team’s final five games… Concluded season with career highs in every defensive category, including 30 solo tackles, 55 total tackles, 4.5 quarterback sacks, 12.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and two quarterback hurries… Weatherly’s tackle for loss total has been bettered by just one player (Tim Fugger, 13.5) since 1998… Blossomed late in the year, contributing 28 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and four QB sacks in his last five appearances… Broke modern-day team record with five tackles for loss in sensational seven-tackle performance vs. Tennessee… Set career high with 12 total tackles vs. Mississippi State… Registered two QB sacks and a pair of hurries in narrow loss at Missouri… First career forced fumble came at Kentucky.
2013
Played in 12 of 13 games, rotating at DE among a 5-player position corps… Contributed 12 solo tackles, 19 total tackles, 3.5 quarterback sacks and 5.0 tackles for loss in first active season… Also added two QB hurries and a fumble recovery… Contributed four total tackles, including a sack and two tackles for loss in team’s BBVA Compass Bowl victory over Houston… During the regular season, played best against SEC competition, garnering 14 of 15 total tackles vs. league opponents… Registered three tackles and 1.5 sacks in win at Tennessee… Contributed fumble recovery at Texas A&M.
2012
Weatherly helped the Commodores as a practice squad member, while redshirting as a freshman.
High School
Senior captain… Four-year starter at OLB/DE and WR… Contributed 79 tackles, 8.5 QB sacks, 15 tackles for loss and a pair of forced fumbles as senior at Shiloh, earning All-Gwinnett County honors… Also had eight catches and two TDs as WR… Played in postseason Gwinnett County All-Star Game… Transferred to Shiloh after playing three years at North Atlanta HS…Posted 66 tackles and 14 sacks as junior at North Atlanta… As hoops forward, helped North Atlanta to two sub-region titles… Also lettered in baseball and track… W.E.B. DuBois Scholar, and member of school’s robotics team.
