2014
Dixon served as key contributor in the interior of Commodores’ 3-4 defensive scheme… Participated in 10 games, earning only start at defensive end against Florida… Missed early-season games against Ole Miss and UMass… Concluded the year with several single-season highs, including 17 solo tackles and 29 total tackles… Also contributed a tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry… Finished the year with excellent fashion, posting back-to-back six-tackle performances against Mississippi State and Tennessee… Six solo stops vs. the Volunteers marked career-high total… Also contributed five stops at Kentucky, and four tackles against Temple and Florida.
2013
Dixon played in every game as part of a four-player rotation at DT that included Jared Morse, Vince Taylor and Adam Butler… First career start came vs. Texas A&M… Finished the regular season with 10 solo tackles, 26 total tackles, 2.5 quarterback sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss… Set career highs with three solo stops and six total tackles in win over UAB… Added sacks vs. UAB and vs. Missouri… Played well in Vanderbilt’s 41-24 victory over Houston in the BBVA Compass Bowl, registering two tackles and a quarterback sack.
2012
Dixon performed well in the Commodore interior defense after stepping into a bigger role as a sophomore… Played in all 13 games at top reserve DT… Set career highs in nearly every statistical category… Posted 22 total tackles, including a stop in each of Vanderbilt’s final eight games… Career-high of four tackles came in win over Massachusetts… Contributed three tackles and fumble recovery against Presbyterian… Had pair of tackles in team’s Music City Bowl victory…Registered first career sack in shutout win at Kentucky.
2011
Dixon was one of five true freshmen to see action… Played in final seven games, contributing as a valuable reserve defensive tackle after injuries sidelined others… Registered three total tackles and a forced fumble… Initial action came against Georgia… Had a forced fumble and tackle against Arkansas.
High School
Senior captain… Three-year starter on defensive line for north Atlanta power… As senior DE, helped Cougars to 15-0 record and Class AAAA state championship, first title in school history… Contributed 80 tackles, four QB sacks and four forced fumbles as senior… Also had key FB role as senior… One of biggest plays was sack that helped secure title.. Earned first team All-Region and All-State as senior… Contributed over 40 tackles as junior DT, earning All-Region honors… Earned first career DE start as sophomore.
