2010

Gowder did not see action during his first season on campus… Spent extra time improving strength while rehabbing an arm injury that occurred in preseason camp… Practiced as H-back/tight end during fall practices.

High School

Team captain as junior and senior… Named first team AA All-State by Georgia Sports Writers Association and Atlanta Journal-Constitution and All-Region selection as TE… Earned four varsity letters… Helped school to 6-4 mark as senior, catching 72 passes for 1,237 yards and 14 TDs… As running back, he ran for more than 1,200 yards and scored 21 touchdowns… Posted highest totals – 77 receptions for 1,423 yards – as junior… As linebacker, added 76 tackles and an interception as senior… Concluded prep career with 225 catches… Starts as forward on varsity basketball squad… As combo pitcher/shortstop, regarded among region[apos]s top baseball players… Threw no-hitter as junior.
