Nagging injuries limited Holmes[apos] involvement… Saw action in three games, at defensive tackle… Played in season finale versus Tennessee, and in midseason victories over Tennesee State and Temple… Did not register a tackle on the season.
2005
Played in three games at defensive tackle… Enjoyed first collegiate action in win over Richmond… Also played at South Carolina and Florida… Credited with a tackle at Florida.
2004
Redshirted. Named scout team Defensive Player of the Week after Florida game.
High School
Two-year tight end starter… Two-time First Team All-District TE… Listed among Dallas Morning News[apos] Top 100 Metro Recruits…. Earned three varsity letters, starting at defensive end as a sophomore… As senior, received ‘winning’ grade by coaches in every game, contributing 42 pancake blocks to 8-4 Mighty Owls[apos] squad that reached second round of playoffs… Also caught three passes… His 32 pancake blocks helped 2002 team to 10-1 record, district title and playoff berth… Contributed 25 tackles in five starts at defensive end as sophomore… Set to play in North Texas Coca-Cola High School All-Star Classic… Throws discus in track & field.
