NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s basketball head coach Shea Ralph announced the Commodores’ 2026-27 nonconference schedule Wednesday. Vandy is slated to play a total of 15 games prior to the start of SEC action, which consists of 10 home dates and a contest at Bridgestone Arena.

With Vanderbilt coming off its third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance, Coach Ralph has once again put together a challenging nonconference slate to prepare the Commodores for another deep March Madness run.

Vanderbilt will play 10 nonconference games at Memorial Gymnasium during the 2026-27 campaign, which starts Nov. 2 against Lipscomb. The Dores also welcome Notre Dame into Memorial Gym on Dec. 3 as part of the 2026 SEC/ACC Challenge, in what will be a rematch of last season’s Sweet 16 contest.

Vandy is set for four neutral-site contests. The Dores will take on Iowa in Sioux City, Iowa, on Nov. 15 at the Tyson Events Center. During the week of Thanksgiving, Vanderbilt challenges Arizona and Oregon State at the Jacksonville Classic in Jacksonville, Florida, on Nov. 23-25. The Commodores take on fellow Music City school Belmont at Bridgestone Arena on Dec. 18.

The battle on Broadway against Belmont marks one of three games against metro Nashville’s NCAA Division I teams for Vanderbilt in 2026-27. In addition to the season opener against Lipscomb on Nov. 2, the Commodores host Tennessee State on Dec. 21. It marks the first time since 1988-89 that Vanderbilt will challenge all three of its Music City rivals in the same season.

The 2026-27 Vanderbilt women’s basketball home nonconference schedule also includes games against Queens (Nov. 4), Morehead State (Nov. 9), Western Kentucky (Nov. 11), North Alabama (Nov. 18), Georgia State (Nov. 29), South Alabama (Dec. 6) and Little Rock (Dec. 28).

Vandy’s lone nonconference road game takes place Dec. 9 at Davidson.

Last week, the SEC announced its 16-game women’s basketball schedule. The Commodores open league play at home on Dec. 31 against Arkansas.

The Dores enter Season 6 under the direction of head coach Shea Ralph. Vanderbilt returns seven players from last season’s Sweet 16 team, which includes All-American and current SEC Player of the Year Mikayla Blakes and the reigning SEC Freshman of the Year Aubrey Galvan. Additionally, the Dores brought in a pair of high-level NCAA Division I transfers, while Ralph inked the highest-rated freshman class during her time at Vanderbilt. This year’s trio of freshmen were ranked No. 11 by ESPN and No. 16 by 24/7 Sports.
