JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On Tuesday, the Jacksonville Classic announced that the Vanderbilt women’s basketball team will participate in its inaugural event on Nov. 23-25. The Commodores will take on Arizona and Oregon State at Florida State College.
Vanderbilt will be one of nine NCAA Division I teams competing at the first Jacksonville Classic. Game times and broadcast information for Vandy’s games against Arizona and Oregon State will be announced at a later time.
Teams in attendance at the Jacksonville Classic along with Vanderbilt, Arizona and Oregon State are George Washington, Middle Tennessee State, Montana State, Oklahoma, UAB and Virginia. All games will be played at Florida State College.

Vanderbilt and Arizona will play for the fifth time. It is the third-straight matchup between the two schools to take place at a multi-team event, as they previously met at the 2021 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam and the 2024 Acrisure Classic in Palm Springs, California. The Commodores lead the all-time series 4-1, claiming the last contest 71-60 at the 2024 Acrisure Classic.
It’s the second-straight season that the Dores will battle Oregon State, as they met at the 2025 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam. Vandy claimed an 88-66 victory over the Beavers at the Paradise Jam, improving to 4-0 all-time against OSU.
The Dores enter Season 6 under the direction of head coach Shea Ralph. Vanderbilt returns seven players from last season’s Sweet 16 team, which include All-American and current SEC Player of the Year Mikayla Blakes and the reigning SEC Freshman of the Year Aubrey Galvan. Additionally, the Dores brought in a pair of high-level NCAA Division I transfers, while Ralph inked the highest-rated freshman class during her time at Vanderbilt. This year’s trio of freshmen were ranked No. 11 by ESPN and No. 16 by 24/7 Sports.
