NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt women’s basketball team is set for a battle on Broadway this holiday season, as Complete Sports Management announced that the Commodores will take on Belmont in a neutral-site contest at Bridgestone Arena on Dec. 18.
The game against the Bruins will be part of a women’s basketball doubleheader at Bridgestone Arena, as fellow SEC school Tennessee will face Big 12 opponent Baylor. Tipoff times and television assignments for the Dec. 18 doubleheader will be announced at a later date.

The Music City matchup on Broadway will mark the 16th time Vanderbilt and Belmont have played. It will be just the fourth meeting between the two as NCAA Division I schools, and the first since the 2016-17 season. The Dec. 18 game at Bridgestone Arena marks the first time the two Nashville schools have played one another away from their respective campuses. The Dores are 10-5 all-time against the Bruins.
Vanderbilt is coming off a 2025-26 campaign that saw the Commodores reach their first Sweet 16 in 17 seasons. Vandy went 29-5 overall and 13-3 in SEC play a season ago. Head coach Shea Ralph was the consensus national coach of the year, while Mikayla Blakes was a consensus first-team All-American. Additionally, Ralph was named SEC Coach of the Year, with Blakes earning SEC Player of the Year and Aubrey Galvan was voted SEC Freshman of the Year.
