Weather Cancels Finale

Vanderbilt and Alabama canceled after one inning of play

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Due to continuing weather conditions in the Nashville area, the series finale between Vanderbilt and Alabama resulted in a cancellation.

The Commodores and Crimson Tide made it through 1.0 full inning of action before storms entered the area and forced the game into a delay. The two teams sat in a just under two-hour rain delay before officially cancelling the game. The Sunday matchup will not be made up.

Vanderbilt claimed the series by winning the first two games of the three-game set.

The Commodores will return to the diamond on Tuesday evening to wrap up their four-game homestand. Vandy welcomes North Alabama to Hawkins Field for a midweek matchup, which is set for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch. Fans can catch all the action live on SEC Network+.
