2015
Kentera participated in 10 of 12 games, missing the Missouri and Texas A&M games due to injury… Possession receiver and excellent open-field blocker… Earned starting assignments at wide receiver in Commodore wins over Austin Peay and Middle Tennessee… Concluded season with seven receptions, good for 92 yards… Opened the year with a pair of catches for 48 yards, including a long of 28 yards, against Western Kentucky… Had season-high three receptions, good for 32 yards, in the win over Middle Tennessee.
2014
Kentera participated in all 12 games, seeing action as a wide receiver and special teams contributor… Ended season with seven receptions, good for 113 yards and a touchdown… Best performance came against South Carolina, catching two passes for 46 yards, including one resulting in 39-yard score… Also had catches against UMass, Ole Miss, Missouri, Mississippi State and Tennessee… Contributed eight total tackles on special team coverage units.
2013
Participated in all 13 games in a tight end or H-back role, and even practiced as a potential quarterback in the days leading to the BBVA Compass Bowl… Earned starting assignments in wins over UAB, Kentucky and Tennessee… Finished the regular season with 10 catches for 100 yards and one TD… Posted career highs of five receptions and 39 yards against Missouri… Notched 13-yard TD reception in victory over Kentucky.
2012
Appeared in all 13 games, earning four starts at tight end after switching from quarterback… As receiving threat out of the backfield, Kentera has hauled in 10 catches for 98 yards and two TDs… His 10 catches are tops among the team’s tight ends corps, and tied for third among all receivers… Kentera’s two TDs also rank third on the squad… Switched to tight end during spring drills.
2011
Kentera moved to tight end/H-back during spring drills… Used his first semester on campus to increase strength while gaining familiarity with the Commodore playbook… Demonstrated excellent athleticism as a scout team contributor.
High School
Senior team captain… Team MVP as senior… Three-year letter winner at QB and safety… Helped lead team to three consecutive league championships… During senior campaign, passed for 1,650 yards and 16 TDs while rushing for 649 yards and seven TDs… As senior safety, contributed 45 total tackles… Earned First Team All-Southern Colorado All-State QB honors… Also earned All-State honors as senior safety… Named 5A-4A All-Area as junior and senior… Also lettered in basketball.
