2014
Injuries ended Sealand’s season prematurely… Did not make a start, but saw action in team’s first seven games at inside linebacker… Shared the team lead with two fumble recoveries… Ended the year with 12 total tackles and four solo stops… Best individual performance came at Kentucky – four tackles including one for a loss and a fumble recovery.
2013
Sophomore earned sufficient action in all 13 games at linebacker… Started six consecutive games at MLB when Chase Garnham missed action… Finished regular season with 14 solo tackles, 42 total tackles, and 2.5 tackles for loss – all career highs… Contributed at least three tackles in seven of eight midseason games… Posted eight total tackles in consecutive games against South Carolina and UMass… Registered four tackles, including one for a loss, in win at Florida.
2012
Sealand appeared in the last eight games as a true freshman for the Commodores in the role of inside linebacker… One of four true freshmen to see action during the season… Showed nose for the football and excellent scheme knowledge as playing time increased during second half of season…Finished with 24 total tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble… Set single-game highs of five solo tackles and nine total tackles in victory over UMass… Forced a fumble and made one tackle in his first career game at Missouri… Contributed a tackle and quarterback hurry in team’s Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl victory over N.C. State.
High School
Two-year starter at MLB for one of Georgia’s top public schools… Voted as co-captain in last game of his career – a victory that gave Tucker the AAAA state title and first undefeated season in school history… Two-way starter (LB and OG) as senior… Earned All-State honors as a senior LB after registering 69 total tackles, two sacks, an interception, four forced fumbles and two recoveries… As junior, was All-Area selection after topping Tigers with 76 total tackles and 14 tackles for loss.

Jacob Patrick Sealand… “Jake”… Majoring in Communication Studies… Son of Orlen Sealand, Sandy Sealand-Young and stepdad Kyle Young… Mom is a registered nurse; dad is helicopter pilot… Has two older brothers, Justin and Michael, both of whom played football at the collegiate level.
