Head coach Tim Corbin on Baird: “Tyler inserted himself into our program long before he ever stepped foot on campus, and his love for Vanderbilt has been evident from the start. He is one of the more talented pitchers to arrive on campus and brings a true appreciation for the craft of pitching along with a competitive edge. Tyler possesses a very good arm and features above-average secondary pitches. He continued to improve throughout the fall, showing steady growth each time he took the mound. He arrived on campus this summer and immediately began making meaningful progress in the weight room, which has accelerated his overall development. Tyler will impact our pitching staff this year and has a very bright future in our program.”
