He has turned himself into a very dependable receiver and shown great improvement with the bat over the course of the fall. Tristan is a well-liked teammate who has a great love for our program. 2016 – Drove in two runs with his first hit of the year against UIC 2/28… Flew out to left in his first at-bat of 2016 against San Diego 2/21.
2015 – Caught the final three innings and walked in his lone plate appearance at Kentucky 5/2… Singled and scored in win over Illinois State 2/27… Picked up his first hit in his first career at-bat driving a single up the middle to score two runs in win over UT-Martin 2/24.
High School – Lettered four years at historical Montgomery Bell Academy… Served as team captain as a senior… Team finished 2013 season as state runner-up… Played summer ball or high school with Kyle Conger (Belmont), Matt Cogen (Old Dominion) and Greg Lambert (Southern Illinois).

Son of Ravi and Sharon Chari… Has one sister, Danielle… Dad is Canadian… Favorites include: Yadier Molina (player), St. Louis Cardinals (team), Step Brothers and End of Watch (movies), Family Guy, Breaking Bad, Lost (TV shows), Liam Neeson (actor), steak (meal), Mike Stud and City and Colour (music)… Says Christian Bale would play him in a movie… Lists imitations as his oddest talent… Uses nice as the one word to describe himself… Names winning the 18U WWBA World Series as his most memorable athletic moment… Roommates with Ben Bowden and Will Toffey… Chose Vanderbilt because of the “great academics and baseball program.”
