Head coach Tim Corbin on O’Connell: “Aiden is one of the best athletes on our team. As a freshman, he won the Omaha Challenge for the pitchers. His athletic skills matched with his left-handed arm strength will enable him to grow as a pitcher in our program. With more time on the mound and skill development, Aiden will help our program. We really like his personality and demeanor. He was an honor roll student in his first semester.”

• Ranked No. 1 prospect in New Hampshire and No. 33 LHP nationally by Perfect Game
• Two-time Northeast All-Region first team by Perfect Game (2023-24)
• Hit .450 as a senior with a 0.68 ERA
• 2022-23 Gatorade Player of the Year for New Hampshire
• Competed with Avon Old Farms in the Founders League 2023-24, earning Pitcher of the Year honors with a 0.00 ERA over 46 IP
• Won the 2024 Founders League championship
• Won 2022-23 state title in basketball with Bedford H.S.
• Four-time Honor Roll recognition
• Grandfather, Tim O’Connell, is in the Xavier Athletics Hall of Fame (baseball and basketball) and was drafted by the New York Yankees in 1968, playing four seasons in the minor leagues
• Cousin, Alex O’Connell, currently plays for the New York Knicks in the G League
• Brother, Conor, played college basketball at Florida Southern
• Sister, Riley, plays volleyball at Pace University
• Father, Jeff, played basketball at Southern New Hampshire
• Has a brother, Conor, and two sisters, McKenzie and Riley
