On Deck: Vanderbilt cross country will host over 20 schools at the Commodore Classic at Percy Warner Park Saturday morning… Remember to arrive early to the Ole Miss football game Saturday to cheer on the undefeated Commodores at Dore Alley in Vandyville at 8:55 a.m. Also, please bring canned goods to donate in support of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee… For out-of-towners planning to watch the Commodores take on the Rebels, here’s a list of affiliates broadcasting the game.

Boyd makes the most of playing time: Redshirt freshman wideout Chris Boyd has been one of the bright spots on offense so far, leading the Commodores with 87 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Boyd credits the coaching staff for helping him grow physically and mentally tougher.

Tchiengang motivated for senior season: Forward Steve Tchiengang is focused on “Building Rome” one day at a time to make his senior season a successful one. “Rome is one of the greatest cities to ever exist and `Building Rome’ is the idea that we as a team are trying to build something strong so that we can have a solid base to carry us through the season,” Tchiengang said.
