Vanderbilt
-Ryan Flaherty extended his hitting streak to 32 games, which ties Warner Jones school record for consecutive games with a hit (Jones streak was set over two seasons 2003-2004)
-Flaherty’s hitting streak ranks 3rd all time in a season by an SEC player
-Matt Meingasner’s two run home run in the 8th inning tied the game at 3
-Vanderbilt has not committed an error in 27+ innings
-Pedro Alvarez extended his hitting streakto 23 games
-Entered the regional with the best home record in the county, and lost its third home game of the season
-Last home loss was April 8th, 2007 versus Alabama
-Last loss to Michigan was in 1971 (Michigan 7, Vanderbilt 2)
-16-20 all time against Michigan
-Defeated Michigan twice last season in the Atlanta Regional at Georgia Tech

-Jason Christian, who was batting near the end of the order for the first time since mid April was safe at second on an RBI single by Kevin Cislo on the play that scored the winning run
-Jason Abraham has started every game for Michigan at third base; he picked up his 14th appearance out of the bullpen and his 2nd save
-Nate Recknagel hit a bases clearing RBI double in the sixth run to pick up his 60th RBI of the season (he is the team leader in RBIs one ahead of Putnam)
-Adam Abraham had his 18th multiple hit game of the season and Kevin Cislo had his 15th multiple hit game of the season
-Nate Recknagel has his 18th multiple RBI of the season
-Mike Wilson picked up his 5th consecutive no decision
