Team Notes

  • Vanderbilt improved to 12-12 on the season and 5-6 in league play with the 72-59 win over Arkansas in Fayetteville.
  • The win was the Commodores’ third consecutive road win in league play, and Vanderbilt’s first win in Fayetteville since 2010. The Commodores are now 3-12 all time at Bud Walton Arena.
  • Vanderbilt is now 4-2 in road league games in 2017.
  • The Commodores converted on 52.2% of their shots from the field and from three for the game. The shooting percentage was Vanderbilt’s best since shooting 53.1% against Tennessee on January 14.
  • Vanderbilt made 12 of 23 shots from three, their 12th game this season making 10 or more threes. The Commodores have a 10-2 record in those games.
  • Vanderbilt out rebounded Arkansas 38-26 on the night.
  • The Commodores started Joe Toye, Luke Kornet, Jeff Roberson, Riley LaChance, and Nolan Cressler for the second time this season (Georgia).
  • Junior guard Matthew Fisher-Davis missed the game due to a violation of athletic department policy.

Player Notes

  • Five Commodores scored in double figures against the Hogs, with senior Nolan Cressler leading the way with 13 points. Luke Kornet, Jeff Roberson, and Riley LaChance each scored 12 points, and Joe Toye added 11 points. It marked the second time in three games Vanderbilt has had five players score in double figures.
  • Luke Kornet now has 999 points in his career.
  • Roberson and Cressler led the team with eight rebounds apiece.
  • Payton Willis returned to his hometown and scored eight points in 15 minutes of action.
