Vanderbilt Closes Raleigh Relays

Relay team takes second

RALEIGH, N.C. – Vanderbilt track and field closed out the Raleigh Relays on Saturday at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility.

The Commodore 1,500-meter relay team of Ginger Hutton, Grace Jensen, Lauren Moffett and Kendall Derry took second in a field of 13 in 18:31.50.

Reagan Bustamante and Haley Walker closed out the weekend for Vanderbilt in the 800 meters. Bustamante ran an outdoor season-best 2:07.06, nearly her personal best and good for third place. Walker ran an outdoor career-best, clocking a 2:09.55.

“We had some good efforts today in the 4×1,500 and the 800 meters,” head coach Steven Keith stated. “Reagan dropped some time running third in the invite and Haley showed some improvement. Overall both the Florida group and North Carolina group had very productive weekends.”

The Commodores will be back in action April 11-13 at the Tennessee Relays.
