Event: Florida Relays

The Florida Relays kicked off on Thursday night and four Vanderbilt athletes competed in the 5000-meter run. Junior Megan Huebner and freshman Mailin Struck led the way for the Commodores with a pair of top-10 finishes. Huebner placed fifth with a time of 16:57.52 and Struck turned in a time of 17:09.63, which was good for seventh overall. Both of their times marked new outdoor season personal bests. Courtney Kriegshauser was the next Commodore to cross the finish line at 18th overall with a time of 17:31.96 and Devon Grisbaum finished with a time of 18:08.02 and 35th overall.
Action at the Florida Relays will resume tomorrow and Jenn Edobi will be the first Commodore to compete when she races in the 400-meter dash at 12:25 p.m. (CT). Here is a full list of Commodore athletes scheduled to compete this weekend (all times listed are central time):

4×800 Relay (3:05 p.m.) – Reagan Bustamante, Maddie Criscione, Kendall Derry and Ginger Hutton
Distance Medley Relay (4:15 p.m.) – Ginger Hutton, Becca Schulte, Reagan Bustamante, Courtney Clayton, Maddie Criscione, Sarah Goodale, Kendall Derry and Courtney Kriegshauser
The meet will be streamed on SEC Network+ on Friday from 11:10-3:10 (CT) HEREand on Saturday from 1:35-6:10 p.m. (CT) HERE.
Vanderbilt’s Caroline Pietrzyk will be competing separately this Friday at the Stanford Invitational in the 5000-meter run. She will race in the third heat at approximately 9:00 p.m (CT). The live results for her race will be available HERE.
