High School: Versatile standout for one of New York[apos]s top prep programs… Earned four varsity letters… High school track team has a 14-year undefeated streak and has won the conference championship for all 14 years… Conference champion in the Triple Jump ([apos]06), Sectional Championship in the Pentathalon ([apos]08)… Won the U.S. Marine Corps Scholar Athlete Award and the Regional Scholar Athlete award as a senior… Named most valuable field athlete in 2005 and 2006.

Academics: Washington plans a sociology and HOD (Human and Organizational Development) double major.

Personal: Nia Cherith Washington… Daughter of Gerald and Marcia Washington… Dad played college football and tennis at Hampton University, played in the USFL (Houston Gamblers), and NFL (Seattle Seahawks)… Born March 2, 1990… Enjoys arts and crafts, riding horses, dancing, snowboarding, and ice skating… Earned nine letters total, including 4 track and field, 3 basketball, 1 cheerleading, and 1 volleyball… Overcame ruptured bursa sac on her hip to win the section title in the pentathalon and went on to place 3rd in the N.Y. state qualifiers.
