2012: Became the No. 1 all-time leader at Vanderbilt in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 3.95m at the SEC Indoor Championships … Finished second at the Vulcan Invitational in the pole vault …Tied a personal record in the pole vault with a mark of 3.86m at the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational 2/3, becoming the No. 2 all-time leader at Vanderbilt in the process.
2011: Cleared the bar at 3.86m in the pole vault in the outdoor season at the SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, setting a personal best … set an outdoor best in the 100m with a time of 14.41 at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold.
2010: Placed first in the finals at the 2010 ISU Classic 2/11 with an indoors pole vault mark of 3.65m … finished second overall at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invite in the outdoors pole vault.
2009: Freshman campaign capped off with a season-best pole vault outdoors at the War Eagle Invitational, clearing 11[apos]1.75’… Top-ten finish indoors at the Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational, clearing the same height as her outdoor personal best (11[apos]1.75′).
In High School: Two-time 4A state champion pole vaulter, winning Florida title as junior and senior… Four-year letterwinner on track squad… Also captured individual victories at both the Florida and Florida State Relays… Holds a personal best clearance of 12[apos]3’… Finished fourth at state in the vault as a sophomore.
Academics: Martin plans to major in Human and Organizational Development at the Peabody College.
Personal: Meagan Nicole Martin… Born Sept. 5, 1989… Parents are Gerald and Beth Martin… Has two younger sisters, Moriah and Mikaela… Father was a gymnast at Ohio State who twice qualified for the United States Olympic Trials competition… A competitive rock climber, Martin is a four-time member of the U.S. Rock Climbing National Team and has traveled around the globe competing in the sport.
