High School/Club Swimming: Swam for coach Bobby Patten at the Hockaday School…set New Mexico state 15-16 4×100 freestyle relay record…earned National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association Top 16 Award during 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons…participated in 400 freestyle relay, 200 freestyle relay, 500 free, 200 free…also competed in cross country…named to the Headmistriss Honor Roll junior and senior year.

Personal: Sheila Salopek…born November 27, 1991…father is a pecan farmer…mother is a homemaker…father swam at New Mexico State…mother swam at Oklahoma University and LSU…has one brother, David (16), and one sister, Haylee (8)…enjoys running, fly fishing and Mexican food…wants to practice water law in New Mexico after graduating…plans on majoring in History and Economics.
