High School: Earned three varsity letters at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla., for coaches Storm Davis, John Newman and Mike Boswell… Bolles went 19-9 in 2003, 30-4 in 2002 and 29-3 in 2001…Was elected team captain in 2003 and was a starter in 2002 and 2003…2002 Class 3A Florida state champion…Reached the regional finals in 2001 and 2003…Captured the District 4 championship of Region 1 all three years… Named first team All-First Coast, first team All-District and was named to the Florida State All-Star team where he played for the North squad…As a junior, he went 11-1 with a 0.71 ERA, 101 strikeouts and only 16 walks in 80.1 innings…Was named second team All-State and to the All-Tournament team by the St. Petersburg Times…In the championship game, he scattered seven hits and struck out three in a 2-1 complete game victory.
