Commodores to battle Arkansas in first round of SEC Tournament

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With the regular season concluding Saturday across the SEC, Vanderbilt’s seed and opponent for the upcoming conference tournament has been finalized with the 13th-seeded Commodores set to start their run Monday morning.

Opening the tournament at 11 a.m. CT in the first round of the SEC Tournament, the Commodores will take on No. 12 seed and tournament host Arkansas in Fayetteville. With a win, the Commodores would move on to face No. 5 seed Kentucky on Tuesday at 3 p.m. CT.

This season, the Dores fell 5-2 to Arkansas at Currey Tennis Center. George Harwell and Marcus Ferreira both won singles matches at Nos. 1 and 2 while Macsen Sisam battled to the finish at No. 3, but the 42nd-ranked Razorbacks claimed doubles and enough singles wins to earn the victory.
