The Brownlee O. Currey, Jr.Tennis Center is a Varsity athletics facility made available for use by members, students, and groups. While efforts are made to ensure the facility is widely available, groups and varsity tennis teams have designated times they will use the courts for exclusive use throughout the year. All indoor and outdoor courts are closed during matches and event rentals. Note that any dates and times listed are subject to change.

Normal facility hours are as follows:
Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Note: Weather permitting, outdoor courts will be lighted and available until closing time every day. Tennis Center staff will have the final say on the playability of the outdoor courts in the event of rain, lightning, and other weather conditions.
The varsity men’s and women’s teams have first priority when reserving courts, which may result in cancellation of court reservations. You will receive notice if this occurs.

No-show/Cancellation Fee: If you fail to show up for your reserved indoor court and do not call to cancel at least 6 hours in advance, you will still be responsible for the entire court fee.
Court reservations are strongly encouraged, and may be made up to 72 hours in advance.
All patrons are required to check in and pay at the front desk before playing for BOTH indoor and outdoor courts. Guests must play with a member and pay a $10 per visit fee in addition to applicable court fees.
Lessons and training sessions may only be provided by the Vanderbilt Tennis coaches. Anyone giving lessons other than Vanderbilt coaches will lose access to the facility.
Parking is first-come, first-serve for ONLY members with a valid Currey Tennis Center Hang Tag. All other vehicles are subject to ticketing and towing. Paid visitor parking is available in the 25th Avenue garage – Use the Highland Avenue entrance and pay at the kiosk. Additional metered parking is available on Jess Neely Drive, Rec Center Lot 27 and on Children’s Way. All university parking and traffic laws must be followed at all times.
All shoes must be a tennis court-type or white-soled shoe. NO running shoes or black-soled shoes allowed. The Tennis Center offers tennis shoes for players to borrow on a complimentary basis if they do not own non-marking shoes.
Locker rooms are available for patron use.
Membership with the Currey Tennis Center is required for use of all courts. Only annual memberships are available, which run one year from the date joined. Members may bring guests to play with them, while adhering to the $10 per visit guest fee.

“GOLD” Membership: This special membership level grants patrons “unlimited” use of the tennis courts (outside of contract time) throughout the membership year. No court fees are required.
“GOLD” Family Membership:Unlimited use of tennis courts (outside of contract time) for GOLD member, spouse, and dependents through age 25.
VU Student: Any Vanderbilt student, including undergraduate, graduate, professional, medical, etc. No membership fees are required for current students.

Contract Court Time
Contract Court Time allows patrons to reserve indoor court time (specific court, day and time) in two sessions during the winter season. Courts must be contracted separately for each session. Membership with the Currey Tennis Center is required for all group members to contract indoor court time. Please e-mail Tom.Howard@vanderbilt.edu to inquire about purchasing contract time.
The contract rate is based on a court fee of $25/hour.
