Klinger/Rowe wrap up their season in NCAA Doubles Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. – Commodore pair Cameron Klinger and Billy Rowe concluded their run in the NCAA Doubles Championship on Tuesday, falling to North Carolina’s William Blumberg and Bo Boyden at the USTA Tennis Complex.

The duo started strong in the first set, taking a 2-0 lead over the Tarheel pair.

Blumberg and Boyden bounced back to quickly go up, 5-3, eventually securing the first set, 6-3, over Klinger and Rowe.

Looking to make a comeback in the second set, Klinger and Rowe dominated Blumberg and Boyden to take an early 3-0 lead over the North Carolina pair.

Blumberg and Boyden fought back to make a comeback, tying the second set, 3-3.

Securing the lead again, Klinger and Rowe earned the deciding point to go up, 4-3, over the pair.

Advancing to the Round of 16, Blumberg and Boyden took the match over Klinger and Rowe, 6-3, 6-4, wrapping up the Commodore pair’s run in the championship.

Tuesday’s match marked the final time that Klinger and Rowe will take the court together. The pair concludes their run earning an overall 15-9 record and the title of All-Americans.
