NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s tennis travels to Evanston, Illinois, to face Northwestern on Friday at the Combe Tennis Center.
Friday’s match will mark the Dores’ ninth dual match after splitting their doubleheader with a close, 4-3 loss to Harvard followed by a sweep over Tennessee State 7-0 last weekend in Nashville.
Vanderbilt sports a 6-2 overall record and is currently 1-1 on the road after falling 4-2 to Florida State and clinching the match over Indiana State 4-3 during the ITA Kickoff weekend.
Last season against the Wildcats, the Commodores outlasted Northwestern 5-2 at the Currey Tennis Center.
Northwestern holds a 3-1 record at home and are 5-3 in dual play. The Wildcats enter Friday’s match coming off of a 4-2 victory over Kentucky.
