FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s golf held its grip on the third spot Saturday at the Mason Rudolph Championship, posting a 2-over 286 to sit at even par through 36 holes at Vanderbilt Legends Club.

Kathryn Ha led the Commodores on day two, finishing with a 1-under 70 to move to even for the tournament. Ha bounced back from an early double-bogey with three birdies in the next four holes to kickstart her round. Olivia Wood continued her strong play with an even-par 71 in Saturday’s second round to sit in fourth on the individual leaderboard at 3-under for the championship.

“I thought we showed a lot of fight again today and I’m proud of how we hung in there,” head coach Greg Allen said. “We just seemed a little off today and I think some of that is the golf course was set up pretty tough, but we also didn’t take advantage of the finishing par 5s like we need to. It was nice to see Kathryn under par and Liv continues to get more comfortable. I’m also really excited to see Claire play well again.”

Sara Im carded a 1-over 72 while Ava Merrill finished at 73. Angelina Tolentino carded a 77 to round out the Vandy lineup.

Claire Henson led the Commodore individuals with an even-par 71. Henson is 2-under for the event and sits tied for fifth on the individual leaderboard. Macie Brown carded a 78 and Elizabeth Rudisill an 80.

Florida leads the Mason Rudolph Championship at 8-under-par followed by Missisissippi State at 5-under. The Commodores sit tied for third alongside Arizona State at even par. Fifth place Georgia Southern is 11 strokes back of the Dores and Sun Devils while sixth-place Louisville is 13 back.

Vanderbilt will tee off at 8:50 a.m. on Sunday and play alongside Georgia Southern and Louisville.

“We’re excited about the opportunity in front of us tomorrow,” Allen said. “We need to be really sharp and doing the little things well.”
