NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Senior midfielder Bri Gross was named preseason All-America by ILWomen Tuesday.

Gross scored a team-high 31 goals as a junior last season including a game-high four on the road against No. 9 Florida. She also led the Commodores in points and goals as a sophomore in 2020.

“We are so proud of what Bri continues to accomplish as a student-athlete,” Vanderbilt head coach Beth Hewitt said. “Not only is she extremely talented and hardworking, but she is an outstanding leader for us on the field as well. Her star shines brightest on the biggest stage, and that’s exactly what we want from our top players.”

Gross’s 84 draw controls in 2021 set the program single-season record, and she enters her senior year third on the Vanderbilt all-time list.

She was one of three Commodores named first team All-AAC last year.

Gross and Vanderbilt start the season at home Feb. 12 vs. Liberty.
