NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Six Vanderbilt baseball student-athletes were named to the 2021 ACBA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Southeast All-Region Team, announced by the publication Wednesday.
The Commodores placed a team-high five players on the All-Region first team, including juniors Dominic Keegan, Kumar Rocker, Isaiah Thomas, sophomore Jack Leiter and freshman Enrique Bradfield Jr.
Sophomore Carter Young rounded out the Vandy honorees, as the Commodore shortstop was selected to the second team.
The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America Committee, which is chaired by Tommy Raffo of Arkansas State University.
ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. I All-American teams will be announced on Saturday, June 19.
Vanderbilt is set to make its fifth appearance in the College World Series this weekend. The Commodores will open play on Saturday evening against No. 5 Arizona. The matchup is set for 6 p.m., airing on ESPN.
