It also matched Vanderbilt’s second-most goals in a tournament game – it also scored four in the 1994 championship game against Auburn.
Tennessee (4-3-1) finished the regular season as the SEC East champions and the overall No. 2 seed and earned an automatic spot into Tuesday’s quarterfinal match. The Volunteers went 3-1-1 over their final five contests and beat Vanderbilt 1-0 on Sept. 27 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Quarterbacks Ken Seals and Mike Wright led the way offensively – Seals threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns while Wright ran and threw for a touchdown as well.
