Dores sweep Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. – The Vanderbilt women’s tennis team snapped a three-match losing streak with a 7-0 sweep of Auburn. The Commodores move to 9-5 on the season and 3-3 in SEC play.

Vanderbilt got off to a quick start by winning all three doubles matches. Alex Leatu and Rachael Dillon picked up an 8-4 win on court one. Nelly Radeva and Jackie Wu, playing together for the first time this season, clinched the doubles point with an 8-6 win in the No. 3 match. Keilly Ulery and Lauren Mira concluded the sweep with an 8-6 win on court two.

In singles play, Leatu continued the winning trend for the Commodores with a 6-2, 6-1 win in the No. 1 match. On court six, Radeva earned a 6-2, 6-0 win over Taylor Schreimann. Wu snapped her personal three match-losing streak with the match-clinching victory on court six.

Ulery, Dillon and Mira each posted wins to complete the sweep of the Tigers. After battling with Jacqueline Kasler to a 7-5 win in the first set, Ulery dominated the second set for a 6-0 win on court five. Dillon, ranked 97th in the nation, posted a 6-2, 6-4 win in the No. 4 match while Mira defeated Olivia Bennett, 7-5, 6-4.
