Vanderbilt on the Road to Middle Tennessee State

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt will face Middle Tennessee State Friday at 5 p.m. at the Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro.
 
The Commodores enter the matchup 4-2 on the season facing a 3-4 Middle Tennessee State team.
 
Competing in Cambridge, Massachusetts last weekend, the Commodores went 1-1 on the weekend, falling short to Harvard Friday, 4-3 and defeating Penn State Sunday, 4-3.
 
This Friday’s matchup marks the 41st meeting between the Raiders and Commodores with the Dores leading the all-time series 30-10. Vanderbilt holds an 11-match winning streak over the Raiders.
 
Middle Tennessee State features one nationally ranked singles performer in No. 85 Gonzalo Morell Raschiatore.

Vanderbilt hosts doubleheader Sunday
 
Vanderbilt will take on Michigan State and Belmont Sunday at noon and 4 p.m. respectively at the Vanderbilt Currey Tennis Center.
 
Fresh off a win over Eastern Illinois, Michigan State faces the Commodores with a 5-4 record. Sunday’s matchup will mark the Spartans’ first face-off against a SEC opponent.
 
Following the matchup with Michigan State the Dores will take the court against a 4-3 Belmont squad. This match will mark the second meeting of the season between the Commodores and Bruins.
