Commodores on the road to Georgia Tech

Atlanta, Ga. – The Vandy men’s tennis team left Nashville Thursday to travel to Atlanta, Georgia where they will compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational this upcoming weekend.
 
The Dores will travel 8 members of the team, Vikram Chari, Marcus Ferriera, Maxwell Freeman, George Harwell, Jack Lee, Alex Ross, Adam Sraberg and Panu Virtanen leaving behind No. 4 duo pair Billy Rowe and Cameron Klinger who recently competed in the ITA Regional tournament advancing to the quarterfinals of the tournament. 
 
Seven teams are set to compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational; Georgia, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, South Alabama, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech. All seven teams recently competed in their respective regional tournament with Georgia’s Jan Zielinski earning the champion title of the Southeast region. 
 
This tournament will be one of the last fall tournaments for the Dores before they open up the spring season January 18th against Northwestern to kick off their regular season. 
 
The Invitational will be held at the Byers Tennis Complex and admission is free.
