TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Vanderbilt’s men’s tennis team will make the short trek across the state line this weekend as the Commodores play at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships beginning Friday.
Vanderbilt will have eight players competing in the event. Those traveling to Alabama include seniors James Moye and Scott Lieberman juniors Adam Baker, Andy Pulido and Alex Zotov, sophomores Alex DiValerio and Charlie Jones and freshman Sam Wells.
Because last week’s ITA Regional Championships ran through last Monday, the Commodores will be without the services of senior Vijay Paul, junior Bryant Salcedo and freshman Ryan Lipman.
The tournament runs Friday to Sunday and is divided into five singles draws and two doubles draws. Vanderbilt is one of 16 teams competing in the tournament. Other SEC schools in the event, include Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee.
