Lacrosse signees: Emma Dagres

Today we meet the third Vanderbilt lacrosse signee, a midfielder from Weston, Mass., Emma Dagres.

DagresEntering her senior season, Dagres already has started for three years for Coach Chrissy Swanson’s Weston Wildcats. She has scored 134 goals over the past two seasons, including 71 goals last year as a junior.

Dagres was named a Dual County League First Team All-Star and was selected to the EMGLCA Second Team for a Wildcat squad that won its second consecutive Dual County League championship in 2011. She has been elected as a team captain for the 2012 season.

Awarded the Scholar-Athete Award twice, Dagres has made Weston’s honor roll in every semester. She is a three-sport athlete, having earned three letters in soccer and two in basketball.

A starting attacker for Coach Lukas Cash’s Revolution Lacrosse Club, Dagres helped the squad earn first place in the Harvard and Brown Tournament.

Personal: Emma Jane Dagres… Born Aug. 21, 1994 , in Atlanta, Ga…. Daughter of Carrie and Todd Dagres… Has one older brother, Jason, 18, and one younger sister, Ava, 11… Both parents attended Trinity College, where Todd played baseball… Grandfather Angelo Dagres played major league baseball for the Baltimore Orioles… Undecided on her major.
