ITA Honors For Men’s Tennis

Joubert Klopper, Connor Robb-Wilcox and Mitchell Deames recognized individually also

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt men’s tennis has earned the ITA All-Academic Team award, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Additionally, three Commodore student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Dores have earned this honor and 11th in program history.

With Vandy trio Joubert Klopper, Connor Robb-Wilcox and Mitchell Deames named ITA Scholar-Athletes, it’s the 18th year a Dore has been represented for this individual academic honor. Klopper has garnered the honor four times during his academic career, while this is Robb-Wilcox’s second and Deames’ first.

Overall, 959 Division I student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 162 programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above. All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

Student-athletes eligible for ITA Scholar-Athlete status must have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
