Fraley Tabbed All-SEC

Veronica Fraley won the shot put at the SEC Championships

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt track and field’s Veronica Fraley was named to the All-SEC first team by the league Tuesday.

The All-SEC first team consists of the top finishers in each event. The second team consists of the second and third place finishers in each event. Ties are not broken.

Fraley received this honor by winning the shot put at the SEC Outdoor Championships. She registered a sixth-round personal best of 18.29 meters to win the title. She was also the runner-up in the discus, throwing a collegiate season best 61.62 meters.

After the conclusion of the conference championships, Fraley was awarded with the Commissioner’s Trophy, given to the student-athlete who individually scored the most points. She contributed 18 points to Vanderbilt’s total over the two events.
