Challenger Tennis Event Main Draw Announced

Nashville — The Music City Challenger Event will take place at the Brownlee O. Currey Jr. Tennis Center on November 8th through the 13th. Players from the middle Tennessee area include Brian Baker and former Commodores Zach Dailey and Bobby Reynolds.

Vanderbilt men’s tennis coach Ken Flach will serve as the tournament director for the event.

“We would like to grow this into a bigger event and add women as well,” said Flach. “Geographically, it makes more sense. More and more colleges are attending this event now. We have the facilities, the support staff and the infrastructure in place to host this. It’s a great tool for our program to show our players that we want them to play professional tennis after their college careers were over and I’ve always felt like in most other sports that college is the best route to prepare.”
