Men’s tennis to host three-day tournament to close out October action

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team plays at home for the first time this season when it hosts Belmont, Georgia Tech, Memphis and Middle Tennessee for the Black & Gold Invitational starting Friday at the Lummis Family Tennis Center.

Schools will be matched against each other in both singles and doubles at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with Vandy slated to play each afternoon.

Eight Commodores will compete over the weekend including Joubert Klopper, Juan Lopez and Michael Ross who all reached the third round recently at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship.
