Click Here to Track Commodores Playing Summer Baseball

As we near the backstretch of the dog days of summer, I thought I would give an update on how Vanderbilt’s baseball players are doing in the Cape Cod Baseball League and Valley League. This will be the first of a two-part update on the Commodores playing in summer leagues.

Check back to vucommodores.com later this week for a run down on the rest of the leagues, including the New England Collegiate League, Prospect League, New York Collegiate League and Kitty League.

The individual stats below are through games completed of July 15, 2009

Armstrong’s best performance on the mound this summer came when he threw a complete game shutout against Hyannis. Out of the pen, Hill has struck out 22 in 19.1 innings of work and sports a solid 4:1 strikeout (22K) to walk (5BB) ratio. Hill is second on the team in strikeouts and third in ERA.

Joe Loftus – Harwich
