Cape Cod
Jack Armstrong (Yarmouth-Dennis) – 0-1, 5.19 ERA, 8.2 IP, 2 G (2 GS), 6 K, 2 BB
Armstrong was saddled with his first loss Sunday, allowing seven runs (four earned) in 4.2 innings against Cotuit.
Anthony Gomez (Orleans) – .242 (8-for-33), 4 RBI, 4 R, 2B
In his last two games, Gomez is 3-for-9 with two RBI, two runs and a stolen base.
Connor Harrell (Yarmouth-Dennis) – .200 (4-for-20), R, 3B
Harrell joined the Red Sox after competing at the College Home Run Derby in Omaha on July 2. He collected his first multi-hit game with two singles against Chatham on July 5.
Corey Williams (Yarmouth-Dennis) – Williams is expected to join the Sox later this summer.
Mike Yastrzemski (Cotuit) – .364 (8-for-22), 5 RBI, 2 R, 2 2B
Yastrzemski is off to a hot start with the Kettleers, highlighted by his 3-for-5, three RBI performance on July 9.
Kevin Ziomek (Cotuit) – 1-0, 0.00 ERA, 4.2 IP, 2 G (GS), 6 K, 2 BB
Ziomek hasn’t allowed a run in two appearances (one start) and has fanned six of the 18 batters he’s faced. He picked up his first victory after throwing four shutout innings against Bourne on July 5.
Northwoods League
Robert Hansen (Rochester) – 1-2, 14.09 ERA, 7.2 IP, 7 G (GS), 7 K, 13 BB
Hansen has pitched in seven games for the Honkers.
Tony Kemp (Rochester) – .316 (6-for-19), 4 RBI, 3 R, 2B
Last night, Kemp collected three hits and scored a run from the leadoff spot. He contributed two RBI in consecutive games on July 11 and 12.
Keenan Kolinsky (St. Cloud) – 0-0, 5.14 ERA, 7 IP, 4 G, 6 K, 5 BB
Kolinsky pitched a scoreless inning of relief last night.
Sam Lind (Mankato) – .333 (21-for-63), 11 RBI, 11 R, 4 2B
Lind is off to a solid start with seven multi-hit games, topped off by a 3-for-5 performance at ThunderBay Tuesday.
Joe Loftus (Mankato) – .273 (12-for-44), 6 RBI, 12 R, 2B
Loftus went 2-for-4 with one double, two RBI and three runs scored in the MoonDogs’ 14-4 win over Alexandria Sunday. He’s knocked in two runs in three of his last five games. He also made his first relief appearance Monday and didn’t allow a run in 0.2 innings.
Spencer Navin (Rochester) – .333 (3-for-9), R
Navin was 2-for-3 with a run in the Honkers’ 3-2 win last night.
Steven Rice (Mankato) – 0-1, 7.02 ERA, 16.2 IP, 12 G, 10 K, 15 BB
Rice picked up his first loss against ThunderBay last night, allowing one run in 1.2 innings of relief.
Sam Selman (Mankato) – 2-0, 1.69 ERA, 10.2 IP, 2 G (2 GS), 12 K, 8 BB
Selman is 2-0 to start the summer including a 10-strikeout performance in 5.2 innings against Alexandria on Monday.
New England Collegiate Baseball League
Will Clinard (Sanford) – Clinard is expected to report to the Mainers this summer.
Drew Fann (Laconia) – .250 (3-for-12), 3 R
Fann scored the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly by Commodore teammate Regan Flaherty Monday.
Regan Flaherty (Laconia) – .273 (18-for-66), 10 RBI, 5 R, 2 2B, 2 3B
Flaherty had the game-winning RBI on Monday on a sacrifice fly to left field to plate Drew Fann. He has five multi-hit games and at least one RBI in eight games.
Conrad Gregor (Newport) – .241 (7-for-29), 2 HR, 6 RBI, 6 R, 2 2B
Gregor knocked in two runs with a double and a sacrifice fly in the Gulls’ win over the Raging Tide Sunday. He’s played in the outfield in five of seven games.
Will Johnson (Laconia) – .345 (29-for-84), HR, 10 RBI, 12 R, 3 2B
In the leadoff spot, Johnson went 5-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and three RBI against the Raging Tide Monday.
Jack Lupo (Sanford) – .200 (5-for-25), 8 RBI, 3 R, 2 2B
Lupo went 2-for-4 with five RBI against New Bedford Monday. He also collected an RBI in three straight games from July 7-9.
Riley Reynolds (Newport) – .231 (3-for-13), 2 RBI, R
Reynolds drove in two runs in his first outing of the summer on July 7.
Valley League
Joel McKeithan (Winchester) – .250 (22-for-88), 2 HR, 15 RBI, 16 R, 3 2B
McKeithan went 2-for-5 with an RBI in the three-hole yesterday.
Prospect League
Josh Lee (Nashville) – .277 (23-for-83), 10 RBI, 13 R, 2 2B
Lee had two hits and three RBI in the Bears’ win over Hannibal July 4.
Walter Johnson League
Andrew Harris (Kansas) – Harris is playing for the Cannons this summer.
DJ Luna – (Kansas) – Luna is playing for the Cannons this summer.
