Baseball Ends Season With Omaha Challenge

The Commodores ended their fall conditioning with the fourth annual Omaha Challenge. Vanderbilt strength and conditioning coach John Sisk designed the competition to build team unity through numerous resistance, agility and conditioning tests.

Events included bench press reps, sled pull, mile Omaha run, a towel hold, tire flip-and-roll and an obstacle course among other challenges.

News Team won the team competition with 3,263 points. Senior Brian Hernandez captained the squad that included Cody Crowell, Stephen Shao, Josh Zeid, Jonathan White, David Macias, Carter Hawkins, Brian Harris and Kurt Lipton.

Sophomore right-hander Cody Crowell finished first among all pitchers with 668 points. Sophomore transfer Parker Hanks led all position players with 614 points.
