Amanda Fish Reaches ITA All-American Status

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Amanda Fish is Vanderbilt’s seventh ITA All-American in Head Coach Geoff Macdonald’s tenure.

Fish finished the season in a tie for 20th in the ITA rankings, and advanced to the second round of NCAA singles competition before ending her
2005-06 campaign.

The junior out of Scituate, Massachusetts, earned a spot on the SEC’s First Team, as well as Player of the Week honors during the regular season. Fish lead the team a No. 1, finishing 22-7 overall against some of the nation’s top competitors. At the start of SEC season, Fish went undefeated for eight matches, notching victories over six top conference players, as well as upsets over No. 1 players from Notre Dame and Texas.
