NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Four Vanderbilt student-athletes wrapped up the 2021 campaign with All-America honors across several national publications.
The Commodore pitching duo of Kumar Rocker and Jack Leiter were tabbed as unanimous first team All-Americans, receiving first team recognition from ABCA, Collegiate Baseball, Baseball America, D1Baseball, NCBWA and Perfect Game.
Of the most prominent duos in college baseball, Rocker and Leiter were both named finalists for both the Dick Howser Trophy and the Golden Spikes Award. The two tied for the nation lead in strikeouts, registering 179 apiece, while Rocker led the country in wins with 14.
Freshman Enrique Bradfield Jr. earned All-America honors from five publications, including first team recognition from the ABCA and NCBWA. Bradfield received second team honors from Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game, while being named to the D1Baseball All-America third team.
Bradfield, the SEC Freshman of the Year, finished second on the team in batting average with a .336 mark, while leading the nation in stolen bases with 47. The Hialeah, Florida, native was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Team, becoming just the fourth Commodore to win the award and first since Jeren Kendall in 2017.
Junior Dominic Keegan rounded out the All-America honors for Vanderbilt, as the Commodore first baseman was named to the Perfect Game All-America second team. Keegan led the team in multiple offensive categories, including batting average (.345), RBI (57) and slugging percentage (.638).
The four All-Americans marked the most All-Americans in one season since Vanderbilt boasted five in 2019.
The Commodores closed out the season with 49 wins, finishing as the national runner-up in the 2021 College World Series.
