Game Notes:
-Commodores opened up the 2015-16 season with an 80-41 win over the Austin Peay Governors
-Vanderbilt now owns a 15-1 record over Austin Peay, going 13-1 in Memorial Gymnasium
-Head Coach Kevin Stallings is now 4-0 against the Governors.
-VU improves to 57-7 in home openers at Memorial.
-VU was just two pointsshy of setting the largest margin of victory in a season opener. Largest margin is 41 – 88–47, set over Presbyterian on 11/12/10.

Team Notes:
-Commodores led 47-15 heading into the half, shooting 57.6% from the floor and 41.7% from three.
-Freshmen Camron Justice, Samir Sehic and Joe Toye earned their first minutes as Commodores.
-A trio of Commodores, Luke Kornet (13), Wade Baldwin IV (14) and Damian Jones (12) all scored in double digits.
-Vanderbilt held the Governors to 21.9% from the field and 6.3% from behind the arc. The Commodores’ lowest field goal percentage defensive percentage in 2014-15 was 29.2% against Trevecca.
-Baldwin and Riley LaChance led the ‘Dores with four assists apiece.
-The Commodores held AP to just 15 points in the first half, and shot 44.4% from the floor and 42.1% from the three.
-VU with eight blocks to Austin Peay’s zero, and only allowed the Governors one assist.
-Vanderbilt began the game scoring the game’s first 21 points and a 28-2 run.
-Vanderbilt committed only nine turnovers.

Individual Notes:
-Kornet established his second career double-double with 13 points and 13 boards on Friday the 13th.
-Kornet set a new career-high in rebounding with 13, surpassing the previous record 10 boards, as well
as tying his career-high in blocks with four.
-Baldwin tied his career high of six field goals made which was last set on 12/22/14 against Penn.
-Baldwin with 11 FG attempts surpassed his previous record of 10 set against Tennessee on 3/12/15.
-The last time a Commodore grabbed more than 10 boards was James Siakam vs. Missouri (13) on
2/21/15.
-Junior transfer, Nolan Cressler, earned his first minutes for the black and gold and scored six points in his debut.
-Freshman Joe Toye was the first of the 2015 class to earn points for VU, off a slam-dunk. Toye scored seven points.
-Camron Justice led all debuting Commodores with eight points for the Black and Gold.
-Semir Sehic tallied two points and seven rebounds.
